Can the picker be adjusted for fruits of different sizes? – The picker has a
tapered shape that accepts and picks most fruit from 2” diameter up to 6”
diameter. It is not designed for very small fruit.
Is it compatible with any standard type of pole or does it require a specific
pole sold by the same company? The picker has a plastic base with a
female thread that accepts all standard extension poles. You can use a
pole of the length you need to reach your highest fruit.
How heavy is the picker? – It weighs about 1 pound.
Is it easy to handle and maneuver for individuals of all strengths and
ages? – Yes. It is easily screwed onto your extension pole and lifted up
into even very tall trees.
How should the picker be cleaned and maintained? – It will collect dust on
the inside when you are picking. Just use a damp rag to keep the inside
clean to reactivate the stickiness of the silicone rubber.
Are there any special care instructions to prolong its life? – Not really, it is
probably best not to leave it lying in the hot sun.
How much time does it typically save compared to traditional picking
methods? – This picker is not designed to save time. It is designed to pick
more fruit, higher up in trees, without damaging it.
Does it prevent damage to the fruit and tree during the picking process? –
Yes. This is the feature users like most. They can pick even the softest
fruit without bruising or damaging it.
Is the silicone material used in the picker food-safe and environmentally
friendly? – We have not tested our silicone for food safety. It is always
best to wash your fruit before eating.
